The University of Richmond School of Law's Student Intellectual Property Law Association (SIPLA) is a student-run organization consisting of those interested in the various areas of intellectual property law. SIPLA brings in guest speakers from all areas to speak to the school about various issues in IP law. SIPLA also coordinates networking opportunites between the members and those working in the intellectual property field. The Greater Richmond Intellectual Property Law Association (GRIPLA), consisting of practicing IP attorneys in the Richmond area, allows SIPLA members to attend its meetings to get to know those working in the field. SIPLA holds
meetings regularly and encourges any student interested in the area of intellectual property law to join.
